My wife and I would like to share our wonderful experience with Pro Concrete. It all began with Duarte (Landscaping Designer) who arrived an hour before his scheduled appointment to give me a quote. His punctuality was very much appreciated. We then sat down to discuss my landscape design. He was very knowledgeable and his expertise was notable through the many recommendations offered in addition to my design. He left and on the same day he sent me a quote via e-mail. By now, I had researched Pro Concrete (e.g., BBB (A+ rating), HomeStars, website, job locations, etc.). My first impression of his quote was met with excitement. For the quality of work that I researched and what my design entailed, it was a quote I could not refuse.
Then Silvio (Owner) arrived an hour before our scheduled appointment to mark the property (e.g., flower beds, trim, steps, etc.). He patiently discussed the process, timeline and day to day operations. He was very professional, knowledgeable, precise, down to earth; and most importantly, genuine. I knew there and then, we chose the right company to turn our vision into reality.
The first crew was the excavating crew. They arrived earlier than scheduled to begin the job. Roberto, Joe, Joe and Frank arrived on site. They dug out soil for the forms to be installed the next day. They were very professional, polite, hard working employees.
The next day the framing crew arrived, Elio (Owner), Roberto, Joe and Frank. Elio was a no nonsense professional who leads by example and expects perfection from his employees at all times. Whatever modification or change I requested, Elio and his team made sure I was satisfied. The day to day responses were, “No, problem”, “I’ll make that change for you”, “We want you to be happy.” This was true to word. In fact, I had Roberto revisit and change the size of the back patio steps three times, the front step twice and to resize a flower bed an hour before they poured the concrete. He was always genuinely willing to please you, “I want you to be happy”.
It was sad to see Roberto and the others leave but the next crew arrived, and that was the pouring crew. With Elio on site along with at least fifteen other employees, truck load after truck load of concrete arrived. While Elio lead and conducted, his employees cohesively filled the frames, troweled, added colour and stamped the concrete. They work meticulously until their job was completed. It was a marvelous scene to watch.
The next day, the cutting, polishing and cleanup crew arrived. Eugene, Louis and others cut and polished the concrete. Eugene made beautiful cuts to accentuate the limestone finished driveway, creating a vastness effect. The polishing brought out the finished product which was outstanding but as the employees keep on telling me - it was not completed yet. What was impressive was the care they took during the cleanup. They covered cars with plastic during the cuts, advised neighbours about the dust, cleaned cars and neighbour’s walls, etc. There was considerable thought and care, not only for my property but the property of my neighbours. I was impressed.
The next day, Eugene and Louis parged the steps. They skillfully applied their craft to create breath taking steps. They also stamped the walls of the steps to create a stone face effect, while another employee troweled the base of the house to match the steps. All these extras were not included in the quote but given freely. Eugene and Louis are truly gifted and their passion shows through their work. Great job, gentlemen!
Two weeks later, the sealing crew arrived to seal the stamped concrete on our back patio. The finished product was beautiful to say the least.
When you sign on with Pro Concrete you get a high quality product at an affordable price. But more importantly, you get family that far exceeds your expectations and satisfaction.
In conclusion, I have to thank Silvio, Elio and their employees for making our dream come true. We wish you much success.
